On Friday, November 1st, 2024, the International Office hosted a Culture Exchange Party, bringing together international and Japanese students to share their cultures. The annual event aimed to promote mutual understanding and foster connections through cultural presentations by international students.
Around 80 participants attended the event, including international students, Japanese students, foreign researchers, and members of local international exchange organizations. The international students introduced their national anthems, shared folk tales, performed dances, and even wore traditional costumes, introducing the unique traditional attire of each country.
At the end, the Awa Dance group "Rasen-ren" from the Faculty of Biosciences and Bioindustry, gave a performance of the traditional Awa Dance. Participants joined in, dancing and enjoying the experience together.
The Culture Exchange Party was a good opportunity for international students, Japanese students, and local community members to connect and deepen their intercultural understanding.
